Authors
Wayne A. Secord,
Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is currently a Distinguished Professor of Communicative
Disorders at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He directed
the National Center for Speech-Language-Pathology in Schools from 2000
to 2003, chaired the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Northern
Arizona University (NAU) from 1995 to 2000, and coordinated the program
in School Speech-Language Pathology at The Ohio State University (OSU)
from 1988 to 1995. An ASHA Fellow, Dr. Secord has authored a number of
articles, books, tests and intervention programs on assessment and treatment
of speech and language disorders and served as the editor of Language,
Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools from 1992 to 1998. A former school
speech-language pathologist, Dr. Secord is a nationally and internationally
recognized conference, seminar, and workshop presenter.
JoAnn S. Donohue,
M.A., CCC-SLP, is the Assistant Director of Clinical Programs
and Services in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at the Ohio
State University in Columbus, Ohio. There, she devotes her time primarily
to coordinating graduate students' clinical placements and supervising
graduate students in phonology/articulation, fluency and voice rotations.
In addition, she offers an advanced fluency seminar, conducts case study
analyses in the phonology/articulation and fluency graduate courses, and
oversees clinic-sponsored Best Practice workshops.
Clint Johnson,
M.S., CCC-SLP, has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 9 years.
He has experience working in home health, hospital, and school settings.
He served as temporary faculty at the University of Georgia for 1 year.
Presently, he is an editor for Super Duper® Publications and has co-authored
many speech and language products. He was the standardization coordinator
for the Clinical Assessment of Articulation and Phonology® (CAAP®)
test and assisted in the development of the Wiig Assessment of Basic Concepts™
(W-ABC™).
Melanee Callough,
M.S.P., CCC-SLP, has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for
7 years. She has experience working with children in home health, hospital,
and clinic settings. Prior to attending graduate school, she worked at
the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. Presently, she is
an editor for Super Duper® Publications and has co-authored speech
and language products. She is the ASHA CE Administrator for Super Duper®.
