Continuing Education FAQs

Does Super Duper offer FREE Continuing Education courses for speech-language pathologists?  Yes. We offer both LIVE and RECORDED courses.
What is a LIVE Super Duper CEU course?  A LIVE course is one that you attend "live"—in real time. We list our upcoming LIVE courses at www.superduperinc.com/freeceu. We usually hold LIVE courses on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at 2 p.m. EST. During a LIVE course you have the opportunity to ask the speaker questions via chat.
What is a RECORDED Super Duper CEU course?  A RECORDED course is the recorded version of a LIVE course. You can take a RECORDED course anytime you wish. You do not have the opportunity to ask the speaker questions as you take a RECORDED course, but you can email questions to freeceus@superduperinc.com and we will answer them for you as quickly as we can. Click here to view a list of our RECORDED courses.
Last year I took some of the FREE CEU courses offered by Super Duper through SpeechPathology.com. Can I still take those courses for free?  No, SpeechPathology.com courses are no longer free. Most of the courses given last year by Super Duper authors are still available on the SpeechPathology.com website. By joining SpeechPathology.com for an annual fee of only $99, you can receive access to an unlimited number CEUs for one year. For more info on these SpeechPathology.com courses, click here.

Once you have created your account, go to www.superduperinc.com/freeceu.
If you already have a Super Duper account, go to www.superduperinc.com/freeceu.
How do I take a LIVE COURSE?
  • Click on the Course Title you want to take.
  • Read the Summary of the Course.
  • Click "Begin Course" to go to the meeting room.
  • Enter your name in the required field and click "Enter Room." (Note: You may sign up for a LIVE course and enter the meeting room up to 30 minutes before the course starts, but please be sure to enter at least five minutes before a course starts. Under ASHA rules, you cannot enter a LIVE course once it begins).
  • Following the completion of a course, close the course window. Either the Course Summary or the Manage My CEUs page will still be open.
  • After taking the LIVE course you have 7 days to take the CEU test. You must pass the test with at least 80% accuracy to receive CEU credit. You have two chances to take the test.
Can I reserve a seat in advance for a LIVE course?  No, but you may sign-in to view a LIVE course up to 30 minutes before the course begins. There are 100 seats available. If the course is full, you may take the RECORDED version after we post it on our website, which should be within three business days after the LIVE course.
How do I take a RECORDED course?
  • Click on the Course Title you want to take.
  • Read the Summary of the Course.
  • Click "Begin Course" to watch the prerecorded course.
  • Following the completion of a course, close the course window. Either the Course Summary or the Manage My CEUs page will still be open.
  • After taking the RECORDED course you have 30 days to take the CEU test.
How do I take the CEU test?
  • Go to the Manage My CEUs page. If you have just taken the LIVE course, this page will be open after you complete the course.
  • To take the test, click "View Test."
  • Complete the test.
  • After you finish the test, click "Submit." Your score will appear. You must receive a score of 80% or higher to pass.
  • If you pass the test and you want your certificate of attendance immediately, just go to the Manage My CEUs page and click "Print Certificate." If you prefer, you can wait and print your certificate anytime you want from this same Manage My CEUs page.
  • If you did not pass the test, you can retake it anytime you like by following this same procedure. You get only two opportunities, however, to pass the test.
If I do not pass the CEU course test the first time, can I view the course again before retaking the test?  Yes. You can view the course as many times as you like before taking the first test, or before retaking the test.
What should I do if I am unable to enter a LIVE course?  LIVE courses have a limit of 100 attendees. If you try to enter a meeting room and you are not able to do so, just take the RECORDED version of that course at a later date.
What if my computer has technical difficulties that disrupt the LIVE course and I am not able to finish watching it?  If this happens, simply take the RECORDED version of this course after we post it to the website.
How long does it take for Super Duper to post the RECORDED version of a LIVE course?  We try to post the RECORDED version within three business days following the LIVE course. You may access and view this course anytime.
How long are the courses?  All of Super Duper’s CEU courses are one hour in length and equal to .1 CEU credit.
Are the Super Duper CEUs ASHA certified?  Yes, ASHA certifies all of Super Duper’s FREE CEU courses.
How long does it take for my course information to show up in ASHA’s records?  Participants should see their course listed on ASHA’s records within 100 days of passing their test. However, you receive credit as soon as you pass the test. If you need documentation any sooner, find your course under “Manage My CEUs” and click Print Certificate.
Does Super Duper report the FREE CEU courses that I take to ASHA?  Yes. As long as you are a current ASHA member and provide us with your ASHA number, we will fill out the paperwork for you and submit this information to ASHA.
What if I am not an ASHA member and do not have an ASHA number?  Without an ASHA number, we will not be able to report your participation in the CEU course to ASHA, and, therefore ASHA will not have a record of you taking the course in their registry.
