The Chewy Tubes™ Jaw Rehabilitation Program© provides an assessment of jaw structure, range of motion, dentition/alignment, function, quality of motion, and food texture. It also provides you with a functional series of oral-motor treatment goals and exercises for developing biting and chewing skills. Seven (7) Outcome Levels divide the progression of treatment:
- Sensory tolerance of Chewy Tube™ in the mouth.
- Sustained closure of jaw on Chewy Tube™.
- Cycles of repetitive jaw movement.
- Rhythmical and repetitive patterns – 15 cycles.
- Rhythmical and repetitive patterns – 20-25 cycles.
- Rhythmical and repetitive patterns – 30-35 cycles.
- Rhythmical and repetitive patterns – 40-50 cycles.
