Use Flora Flamingo plush stuffed animal with Flamingo Bingo and Lotto as a fun motivator for your students! Have students use Flora to demonstrate the 16 position words in the game. You can even place Flora around the classroom to expand learning and have even MORE fun! Students will love searching for Flora and describing where she is, and positioning Flora for their classmates to find!
Here are some other ways to have fun with Flora:
  • Find it, Flora! – (Basic Concepts) Tell a student to help Flora find something in the room. Make sure you use a basic concept in your directions. After the student places Flora next to the found item, the student gives the next student a direction.
  • Flora’s Feelings – (Emotions) Use Flora to talk about emotions. Tell the students how Flora is feeling. Talk about why Flora may be feeling that way and how you can respond to her feelings.
  • Flora Says – (Following Directions) While holding Flora, give the players directions to follow. The players should only follow the directions if you begin by saying, “Flora says…” If a player follows the directions without hearing, “Flora says…,” that player is out. The last player left in the game wins!
