Webber® Basic Concepts Program

Here's the scoop! Webber Basic Concepts gives you a way to teach 54 basic concept pairs (plus 3 bonus concepts!) assessed in the Wiig Assessment of Basic Concepts® (WABC). This systematic program aids your students in learning these 111 concepts receptively AND expressively.

Here's how. First, you teach the concept pair (hot/cold, up/down…) using four reproducible pictures. Next, you present pictures that have the concept pair with a foil (a third item that is similar, but incorrect). Finally, the student identifies three concept pairs on the colorful laminated boards while you ask receptive and expressive questions from the instructional activity book (You even get a reproducible duplicate of the board for extra class or home practice!). As reinforcement, you can give each student an ice cream cone and a scoop every time they answer a question.

Webber Concepts includes 52 colorful concept boards, a 224-page reproducible workbook, instructional sheets, and a copy of the game board for take home practice. It also includes 12 foam "ice cream cones," 90 "scoop" reinforcers, and a set of dry erase markers (Markers are non-toxic and comply with the ASTM D4236 standard).
