The Processing Program (Level 1) addresses the underlying language-processing deficits present in some children, while at the same time improving understanding of critical language concepts important for classroom success. Uses a picture-identification format and modified natural speech to teach:
- Improved language-processing speed and efficiency.
- Nearly 150 important concepts of time, space, condition, quantity, and quality, including those relating to the classroom curriculum.
The Processing Program features:
- Language Webs - ways in which the concepts are organized, introduced, and then combined to form longer and more complex directions
- Altered Auditory Input (AAI) - technique that makes the directions easier for the child to process
You'll learn how to identify the type of modifications needed for each child and then how to fade use of the AAI technique.
