The Khan-Lewis Phonological Analysis-2 (KLPA-2)– works with the Goldman-Fristoe-2 to give you a more comprehensive analysis of articulation ability and the use of phonological processes. The KLPA-2 expands your use of the Goldman-Fristoe-2 by helping you diagnose and plan remediation for ten common phonological disorders such as Initial Voicing and Liquid Simplification. How the KLPA-2 works:
- First, administer the Sounds-in-Words subtest of the Goldman-Fristoe-2, recording the articulation of major speech sounds in the initial, medial, and final positions in phonological notation.
- Next, transfer these responses to the KLPA-2 Analysis Form.
- Use the Sound Change Booklet to locate scored and unscored phonological processes used. Easy to read and color-coded, the booklet gives you diagnostic information at a glance. The KLPA-2 scoring takes only 10-30 minutes, compared with 2 hours for similar phonological analyses.
- Then, use the Phonological Summary and Progress Report for developing treatment strategies.
The revised edition offers you these advantages:
- Expanded scoring
- Expanded age range: 2-21
- Streamlined, easier-to-use Analysis Form
- New supplementary materials: an all-inclusive Sound Change Booklet and a Phonological Summary and Progress Report for parents that complies with IDEA
