Beep! Beep! Busy Babies coming through! Are you smiling? We are. This deck brings 28 baby pairs (56 cards) to your doorstep. Your students will delight in improving their describing skills while playing cards with these babies. Deal the cards and take turns trying to make a baby match. "Do you have the baby in the car?" These cards are also terrific for asking and answering question forms and include game ideas! Cards measure 2½" x 3½" and are stored in a sturdy storage tin.
My preschool students LOVE these cards! They are bright pictures that are a lot of fun for the kids.

I had five minutes to kill at the end of a session with a 6th grader and pulled this fun deck out to work on his expressive language skills. Even though the item states it's K-5, my 6th grader had a blast playing "Keep Looking" (a version of Go Fish). He left my room with a smile on his face. I can't wait to use this with my other groups!

These cards contain real photographed babies with added "drawn-in" graphics. My EC students love to describe items in the pictures, eliciting nouns, colors, verbs, and locational prepositions--- very engaging for my population.

I work with primary school aged kids. They love this fun deck! I like that it can be used for vocabulary, increasing MLU, verbs, or describing (and more). I've collected a basket of items that go with the pictures (e.g., a car, hat, blanket, etc) and we can pair the cards up with tactile objects for more fun.

My students love playing go fish with this deck of cards! They get so lost looking at all of the adorable babies that they don't even realize they are working on their speech sounds (which is perfect for those at the conversational level)! This is also a great set for describing and sentence formation.

I love using these cards for my little guys who are just starting to engage in picture card tasks. For some reason, the kids love looking at the babies. They are great for describing actions and labeling nouns.

I bought this to use with my special needs preK students. I love the fact that although it's very simple, I can use it to address nouns, verbs, descriptors and color recognition, just to name a few concepts.

Busy Babies Describing Cards

I am probably on my fifth deck of Busy Babies! It addresses many needs and is FUN! I use it work on social skills: (eye contact) looking at the person you want to ask for a card and addressing them by name. This activity also provides practice asking questions, describing a picture, using complete sentences, as well as vocabulary development. I use it to practice fluency and articulation as well! Incredibly useful and practical and FUN!

Fabulous Deck!

The Busy Babies cards are a fantastic way to boost expressive language. The card pairs feature babies in diapers performing a variety of actions or holding different objects. Many of them have easily distinguishable emotions, which adds a dimension. The cards are very engaging, and some of them feature the same baby in the same position but performing/holding something different, so you can use that as a medium for discriminating. The gender of the babies is underterminable in most cases, which would otherwise have offered the additional dimension of teaching pronouns, but that is my only criticism!
