My four year old daughter loves this game. It's like the classic game of Bingo but with a fun, learning twist. I love this game because 1) who doesn't love bingo?! and 2) my son is learning and doesn't even realize it. The questions are a GREAT way to practice more analytic thinking skills and learning the differences between the wh- words. Then we get to find the photo on the bingo card... and yell "BINGO!" :) Lots of fun.

New Traditions

"Wh" Bingo
Bingo is a game loved by all ages. For the past few years we have been trying to build new traditions for the holidays. One of the things we started doing was playing bingo for prizes at Thanksgiving Dinner. I made or purchased small fun items through out the year and had them all wrapped before the game began. I am excited this year to use this new educational form of Bingo for the game. This game has 6 board cards for each Wh? topic. The different Wh's are where, who, when, why and what, then there is a combo question card also. Examples of the questions asked are Where do you find sand? The answers have pictures that the children match on their bingo cards. Who lives next door to you? When do you watch fireworks? Why does a bathtub have a drain? What do you ride that has two wheels? Of course I am not going to give you the answers... You need to buy the game to see those... Sillies. :)

Ask & Answer Wh Bingo
by Devorah H.,  Brooklyn, NY
#BGO120 – Ask & Answer
"Wh" Bingo
Although this game is supposed to be appropriate for preschool children, I found that many questions had difficult vocabulary and very obscure pictures or pictures that are not relevant to young children. For example, a maid and a bank teller are not jobs most young children know. Both the farmer and bankteller pictures do not portray those people well enough for children to tell who they are. In addition, the question "who makes sure people obey the law?" is too difficult for young children, as they don't know what obey means. I also expected to have different pictures on the boards not the exact same ones in a different layout. For the price, I found that it was not a very well thought out game.

"Wh" Bingo
I have been using this product for almost every group I have, and everyone loves it and asks for it again and again! Wh-Bingo opens the door for a discussion of the meaning of wh-questions (what= thing; who= person; where= place; when = time; why = reason), and in answering the clue-card questions, kids get plenty of language practice. It's endlessly adaptable, too; for pragmatics kids, it encourages turn-taking and discussion, since I let the students ask for help from peers in answering questions, and for artic practice, I focus on accuracy of sound production in students' answers. This is already one of my most valuable therapy supplies, and I've only owned it for a few weeks!
