If you are looking for a consistent form of explanation for not only your kids but parents as well these cards are it. I'm a COTA and as many of you know we are only paid for our treatment not our moonlit hours spent setting up and preparing material or session activities. These cards cut a lot of prep out for me, they are an investment well spent and an easy tool for my kids, parents, and self to utilize. The best feature is the break down of each sensory system and corresponding activities that include detailed explanation so you literally have all you need right in the deck. Honestly it's a 10/10 in my book.

The Sensory Diet Cards are awesome. The pictures and descriptions are very clear and uncluttered. They have all the activities I'd normally put in my student's Sensory Diet and I can show my students 2 cards and let them pick what they want to do! The pictures are especially great for my younger students (ages 3-5 years) and my busy parents love them!

Our clinic had been using the sensory diet handouts for a while, and we were always missing a fun, accessible way to introduce families to some basic sensory diet activities, so these cards were exactly the thing!

I have been an occupational therapist for 8 years and felt these cards would be a great source of home programming for my parents. I feel the cards provide good ideas for the families to follow, but overall did not add much to my treatment arsenal.

These are actually a hinderance to catching his sensory issues while or before they are beggining- if my autistic son with severe sensory issues is already overstimulated then I can use these and try to distract him with an appropriate activity- but many of the activities assume the user has an OT swing and other equipment that we dont have here at home and these cards are not an easy way to teach self regulation which is really our goal with him.

I bought this product to learn a little more about the sensory system. It not only gave me more information about how the sensory system works but it gives great realistic exercises that can be used at home, at school and at other types of facilities.
