Webber® Functional Communication Game
Teach non-verbal students to communicate using Mayer-Johnson Boardmaker Picture Communication Symbols with these amusing, motivating games. The five game formats (Functional World of Communication Game, Spinning with Communication, Communication Bingo, Lotto, and Tic-Tac-Toe) cover daily topics, and allow students with varying motor and verbal skills to participate in games they often would not be able to participate in due to their fine motor or communication abilities.
Students place markers on bingo, lotto, and tic-tac-toe boards, move game pieces around the game board, and hit a flashing spinner to earn tokens when answering questions. Activities and boards allow the SLP to plan a therapy session without spending hours making boards and provide 1,611 expressive and receptive questions and commands for student practice.
Webber Functional Communication Games contains eleven topic areas.
- Places
- playground/park
- Hygiene
- Senses
- Feelings
- Around town—transportation and community helpers
- Objects
- Small group—weather/seasons and days of the week
- Food/drink
- School
- Social
Each topic area includes two different communication boards with 18 receptive cards and 18 expressive cards that target matching, identification, sentence completion, and responding to questions. In addition to teaching non-verbal students to use augmentative communication, the games are great for working with preschoolers with language delays, children with autism and hearing impairments, and children who respond well to visual cues.

- 44 double-sided communication boards (9½" x 11")
- 11 topic areas with two different boards per topic, 9 pictures per board

- 198 receptive (2¼" x 2¼")
- 198 expressive cards (4¼" x 3¼")

A must haveThis is a must have if you are working with special needs students young to transition age. As always the materials are very very well made, durable, functionable and washable. This covers a broad range of areas and can be used for the classroom, for therapy, for fun at home. I am always impressed with Super Duper's products!!!!!!

MrsThis is a great tool for my self contained middle school students, the pictures are clear and relatable.

This is awesomeI absolutely love this product. I am able to use it with artic and language kids. We play bingo, or with my really low PPCD students, I will tell them to point to the _________. We can talk about plurals or what goes with this. We can use it for how are a ___________ and a ________ alike? How are they different?

A big hit! This was just what I was looking for to address communication with my lkife skills/ MOID students. Many options for game play, and easy for my lower level kids to understand and play. I love the large game pieces!
-
FyiThe player pieces are huge, as is the game box. The game is also very heavy. This is *not* a game for carrying around. It's too heavy to carry in your arms, and too big to fit in a the type of cart therapists typically use. The game is as described. They just didn't talk about size.

Functional CommunicationMy student and the rest of her class are extremely pleased to be able to play and communicate with each other. It is such a pleasure to watch as my student, who is non verbal, feel at ease with her classmates as she is now being accepted for who she is. Thank you so much for your dedication to all children with your wonderful products.

Great Product!I really like the Webber Functional Communication Boards. It really cuts down on planning time as much of the work is already done for you. It help to have different levels of questions, so I can use the product with my high and low kids. I don't use the spinner much in therapy as I think the kids would be distracted by it, but really enjoy using the boards to play lotto!

As a mother of a...As a mother of a fourth-grader who has Asperger's, I particularly enjoy all of the games and social skills activities that you have available. All of your products appear to be so fun and enjoyable for the kids, that they probably don't even realize that they are picking up some very important life skills while they are playing them. That's important, because, after all, why shouldn't social skills games be just as entertaining as any childrens game? You guys obviously 'get' kids ---thanks!!!
