What Do You Say . . . What Do You Do . . . ® At School?

Going to school has never been so cool!

What Do You Say….What Do You Do…At School? is a colorful, fun, interactive board game for teaching and reinforcing important social skills that students need for successful interaction with their peers, teachers, and parents. The social situation cards in the game target reasoning, inferencing, pragmatic, narrative, and conversational skills. The question cards emphasize typical situations that children encounter at school, as well as peer relationships, safety precautions, following the rules, and interactions with adults. The questions are open-ended, requiring children to problem-solve and develop their own solutions to the situations. Additionally, the presentation of specific social situations encourages children to engage in role-play.

Challenge your students as they tour the school, collect tokens, and deal with everyday social skill situations in the classroom, lunchroom, school offices, related arts, playground, and around school areas. With almost 400 different social situations, your students will never play the same game twice! 2 to 6 players.

  1. Say & Do at School

  2. Great resource
I bought this game to do with my K-8 grade students. The game is easy to follow, colorful but not too distracting and the situations are realistic. Great for all ages. It does get a little repetitive and perhaps with some of my younger students it gets difficult to communicate with open ended questions. I usually give them 2-3 choices if I see them getting overwhelmed. Overall a great resource for many different students.

  3. Great Social Skill Resource
This game is a great tool to be used with students who encounter difficulty in using appropriate pragmatic skills as well as lacking the knowledge of these skills. I have used it with some of my students including those who need highly engaging and motivating activities, and they loved it!

  16. Taking the frustration out of planning therapy

I've played this game numerous times with various children ranging from 6 - 12 years. All loved playing this game. It can be used with various disorders not only children with ASD. What I really like about this game is that it allows you to target higher order thinking like cause and effect and problem solving without the hassle of having to plan an in-depth lesson. The children learn these skills as the play! I would highly recommend this game to any therapist!!!

  17. What!
What Do You Say...What Do You Do...At School? continues a tradition of realistic, authentic, and engaging therapy materials developed by Super Duper for students on the Autism Spectrum. Our students do NOT learn and/or have innate social communication skills. The social dimension has to be broken down into meaningful activities that keep them tuned in as they learn. It would be impossible to make gains with these students without motivating games such as What Do You Say...What Do You Do...At School? In addition to being impossible, it would not be practical as SLP's paperwork time has increased there is less preparation time. Thank goodness for games in a box that address ALL of the critical components for students to be able to navigate the school social network. It is painful at times to watch them try to interact successfully and with coaching and repetition they will now be able to not only be academically successful but socially successful. Take a bow, Super Duper!

  18. What do you say what do you do at school.
Great starting point to help teach social skills. The variety of scenerios is enormous. Besides the game being a great learning centre activity, the cards themselves are great for a quick "5 min before the bell "social skills problem solving session for the whole class, especially playground scenarios they are likely to meet immediately after. Appropriate for a variety of ages.Well presented, colourful board and sturdy construction.

  19. What Do You Say? What Do You Do?
I love this activity as it is perfect for a language group. Objectives can be tailored to obviously include comprehension of Wh questions. Students responding in complete sentences can also work on grammatical and syntactical skills. Finally, it is an excellent social skills activity, incorporating problem solving and turn taking. Most important of all, kids love it!

I played this game with two middle school students with Autism and cognitive disorders. They loved it! One of my student's parents was observing the session, and she mentioned that it was a really great game and reinforced some social skills she was trying to teach at home as well. Not only an SLP endorsement, but a parent liked it also!

What a fabulous product!! This game is wonderful for children with pragmatic difficulties and those other students whose social skills can use a little finessing, too. I use this game in mixed groups of articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics children because I find that most children can use a little work with social skills and they can work on their other difficulties as well.

I just got this game in the mail as a part of my supply order for next school year. I've played it with several of my students who have Autism or Aspergers. They loved the game and I loved how easy it was to practice social skills in our small group! The questions cover many different situations that my elementary students face on a daily basis. I plan to by the At Home version next!

As a mother of a fourth-grader who has Asperger's, I particularly enjoy all of the games and social skills activities that you have available. All of your products appear to be so fun and enjoyable for the kids, that they probably don't even realize that they are picking up some very important life skills while they are playing them. That's important, because, after all, why shouldn't social skills games be just as entertaining as any childrens game? You guys obviously 'get' kids ---thanks!!!

  35. Perfect for Social Skills
I love using the 'what do you say, what do you do at school' social skills game with my elementary students. There are so many questions/situations so the game is always different and exiciting for my students. The game is also great for addressing expressive language skills such as syntax and semantics when they are responding. I would recommend this game to any SLP who has students with social skills difficulties.

While this game may be good for older students, it is too difficult for my current caseload of students (ages 3-13). I think that having pictures to go along with the questions would make it more appropriate for my students.
