Oral-Motor Mirrors

These mirrors are great to use in a school setting because they are small and portable. The students are able to watch themselves as they make productions, so this helps them with tongue positioning. These are a great tool to use!

I've been using these mirrors with my preschoolers all the way up to 5th graders, and they're great. They can either be held by the students or supported on the table. I use them for students practicing emotions as well as speech sounds.

I bought a pack of these mirrors about 4 years ago and they were great. They're the perfect size for little hands. But then I bought a pack this year and the mirror detached from the plastic on all 4 mirrors within the month. I tried to super glue them back on but it didn't work and I had to throw them away. I bought another pack this month in case the last set was defective and I've already had one mirror detach from the plastic. Very disappointing!

Love the way these mirrors can be used either by hand or stood up on the table.

We have worked on training them to hold the mirror on the groves to keep them from flipping, and that seems to work fairly well. It would be nice if they locked into place in the upright position. The kids like them.

I really like how these mirrors sit well on the table, but when students try to hold them in their hands the mirror part flops down over the handle. The students can't resist trying to fold the mirror back too far and may break them if not trained to avoid that behavior.
