The NEWLY REVISED 2nd Editions of The Processing Program—Levels 1, 2, and 3 help students listen to and process increasingly complex directions and concepts.

Level 1 (359 pages) targets 46 basic concepts and vocabulary words from the categories of singular and plural nouns, pronouns, sizes, colors, quantities, prepositions, and conjunctions. Levels 2 and 3 help improve language-processing skills using a set of picture-identification tasks. Teachers learn how to identify the modifications a student needs. Level 2 targets 101 advanced concepts for children ages 6 to 9 years. Level 3 uses many of the same concepts as Level 2, as well as 17 additional concepts, in longer and more complex command combinations for children ages 9 to 12 years. Levels 2 and 3 are both in one manual (407 pages). Both books are now hardback.

All three levels are extremely helpful in working with children who have difficulty processing or learning basic language structures and concepts including those with attention deficit disorders, auditory processing disorders, autism, and cochlear implants.

Within all three levels, teachers learn how to make commands easier for each child to process using the Altered Auditory Input technique (AAI). Teachers will also be able to teach the AAI technique to the child’s communication partners/parents.

Note: To begin The Processing Program: Levels 2 and 3 it is not necessary to complete Level 1.

    I just received this and have only used it a few times, but I like how it slowly builds language processing skills for my reluctant and low language learners. Students don't get frustrated at moving too quickly to the next step. Pictures are clear and colorful and easy to see which one a student is pointing to.

    The program, is amazing! I use it For my special Ed students. It promotes everyone's level even if the child doesn't have processing issues. A true winner!
