emotion cards
I often work with kids who can not recognize emotions in facial expressions. These cards are great because they use real people as well as drawings. We have discovered that some facial expression might mean more then one thing!

Versatile
Multiple uses: my feelings, your/other's feelings, what is he/she thinking?, what would/did she/he say? This pix is my practice communication partner. Mimicking facial expressions? Changing facial expressions, one feature-at-a-time, to change their perception. Our students really enjoy this card set.

Enhancing Communication in Classroom
These cards have been a true asset with many of my students including those who have been diagnosed with Austism, Selective Mutism, Apraxia, Stuttering and students with anger management difficulties. Not only are the cards useful in the therapy setting but I have a set I use in the classroom to help the student cue the teacher of how they are feeling during a group teaching session. It allows the teacher to tune into the child's frustration or difficulty with comprehending presented information without verbally interrupting the teacher or other students. It also encourages those students who are shy or less likely to "speak out" infront of the class to nonverbally voice how they are feeling. It has cut down on aggression in the classroom because the student has an immediate way to communicate with the teacher to let her/him know how they are feeling before the situation escalates. The mirrors included in the kit make are an added bonus for those of us who still work in brick lined "closet" therapy rooms which make it difficult to mount a mirror on the wall for students to access. You can't break them either so safety is not a concern. This kit can be adapted and used in both a conventional therapy setting as well as in the regular classroom.

These cards are Awesome and Fun!!
My students with Aspergers and high functioning autism loved these cards. They had fun looking at the faces and trying to figure out "why" they were looking this way. They also loved using the mirrors to try and imitate the faces! This product contains a great instruction packet that gives a handful of different games you can play to make learning emotions fun!!

As a mother of a...
As a mother of a fourth-grader who has Asperger's, I particularly enjoy all of the games and social skills activities that you have available. All of your products appear to be so fun and enjoyable for the kids, that they probably don't even realize that they are picking up some very important life skills while they are playing them. That's important, because, after all, why shouldn't social skills games be just as entertaining as any childrens game? You guys obviously 'get' kids ---thanks!!!

I am very pleased with all of the products that you carry. I especially find the photo cards with "real pictures" instead of drawings to be most helpful for my students. I teach elementary level multiply disabled students. Some of my students are on the autism spectrum and the real photos are best. Thanks so much, keep up the good work!
