Too high level for 2nd and 3rd gradersI tried using these cards with a group of 3rd grade language impaired students and the cards were at too high of level for them. The samples on the website seemed OK but I felt the vocabulary was way too high for that grade level. These may be more at a 5th grade level.

Great for older kidsAs a previous review mentions, these vocabulary cards seem appropriate for late elementary school. They are quite challenging and I use them for 5th-8th grade language impaired students with moderate vocabulary deficiencies.

Great ResourceThese vocabulary cards are a great resource for teaching curriculum based vocabulary in all subject areas. The cards come in pairs with words and definitions on separate cards, so I can use them in a variety of activities. The illustrations are cute too. I would recommend using these words with third through fifth grade students.

Core VocabularyWorking across grade levels, these cards are exactly what I am looking for. I can't wait to use them!

Very helpful productI have all sets of the Core Curriculum Vocabulary Cards. They are excellent language tools, but I also use them to practice incorporating artic targets into oral reading and/or responding. These sets empower me to align students' goals and therapy activities with their classroom instructional standards.

Vocab CardsIt is a great set of basic vocabulary words for core subjects. I would like the deck to include several blank cards so the deck could be individualized.
