  4. Arctic Phrases and Sentences Quick Take Along

    This mini book goes with me as I travel to and from student classrooms. I originally purchased it for use with my 5 Minute Kids articulation delivery, and it's great for those sessions. I've also found it invaluable as I catch that older articulation student in the hall, on his/her way to art, the computer lab, etc. We just step aside, do a quick carryover drill using the mini-book, and they're on their way!
    I plan to order the Grammar Mini-book for next school year.

    The articulation phrases and sentences are really fun! There are so many examples and they really get the student to work on the target sound as almost every word in the phrase or sentence has their target sound in it. I like it too because even if you think a phrase or sentence may be too difficult for the student to say, you can break it down and just use a target word of your choice. Lots of opportunities and practice for speech sounds in this book!

    I absolutely love my articulation phrases and sentences book. I am commuting back and fourth between two schools, so the less amount of materials I have to tote around, the BETTER! This handy little book not only gives me phrases and sentences for my kiddos, but it gives me a nice compiled list of targeted sounds within words. Great tool that should be in any SLP's bag of tricks!

    This is a very handy resource when you have just a couple of minutes at the beginning or end of a session and want to have a student practicing while they wait for the group to gather or clean up. It's also great for progress testing or for "taking along" as you listen to kids in class or do consultations in the classroom, and can have a student repeat or read the sentences. Great compact size, but the print is still clear and readable.
