  4. Great for kids with apraxia

I work with young children with speech-language impairments, and I've been using this flip book lately with a few kids diagnosed with apraxia. I can choose to target vowels or early developing consonant sounds, depending on which way we flip. The kids really like flipping the cards over and seeing the pictures. The built in repetition helps with their motor planning. We're enjoying this!

Love, love, love this resource. It is VERY parent friendly and gives a few good examples that families can easily follow and do. Because only a few examples are listed, I believe that these handout are less overwhelming for parents than others i have ordered. Definately recommend this, especially for toddlers and children who are significantly delayed!!!

Early Language Development/CD has been the perfect tool to use for parent training and therapy ideas. It breaks down early communication into baby steps for parents to understand the "how to" of language development. I have seen such growth in a 2 year old's speech development as parents have learned from the handouts and therapy sessions. They reread the handouts which reinforces skills I have taught. Handouts are easy to print out from CD and are colorful. I highly recommend this book/CD for working with our infants/toddlers!
