Fun Deck learning and Fun
My 6-year-old isn't quite able to read the cards all on her own yet, but it has been a fun way to engage her in a fun "what comes next?" activity. This is perfectly in line with what I am currently working on with her for homeschooling and she enjoys using the decoder keychain so much I will definitely have to get some more Fun Decks!

My daughter LOVES this game
My daughter is five and therefore a little below the recommended age for this product, but she loves guessing the answer and even further likes feeling like a detective using the decoder flashlight.

The cards have been just...
The cards have been just great for our kids' programs. The cards have been very helpful in areas such as inference, what's wrong, what doesn't belong, predictions, associations, auditory memory for short stories, what's being said, etc. They make work much more fun and are motivating in themselves for the kids to want to come to the table and work.

Excellent for non-readers
Story Prediction is an excellent choice for many age and academic levels since you can control whether or not you provide the given answer choices. Great for readers and non-readers alike.

The kids love the secret decoder and they have a great time with the fun stories. They hardly realized there was any learning being snuck in. :)

I like to use this with my 3rd to 5th graders. My students love shining the light on their answer to see if it is correct.

Grades 1-8?!
This product is not at all appropriate for grades 1-8. Many of the 1st grade students in the language based classroom find them easy, and my mainstream 3rd graders laugh in my face at how easy they are. The stories are more what logically comes next in a sequence, they are not actually stories... a "story" might be something like, Sammy mixed the batter and put it in a pan, then did he: sit down and watch TV, put it in the oven, or put it in the dishwasher... I gave it 2 stars because I, and especially the kids, love the light and how the correct answer glows pink when you shine it over it.

Decks. They allow almost painless...
Decks. They allow almost painless teaching. Until I started he was not able to answer any question. I recommended them for Robert's school (besides buying myself) and they bought it and hopefully start using them. My son has very, VERY VERY serious problems with language and speech.

I love all of your products and most of my students' favorite games are by Super Duper. They love the secret decoder games. However, some of my older decoders do not work very well--they are hard to push and not very bright. The new design is much better. I ordered the "Irregular Past Tense Verbs" deck w/ decoder in the Spring and it works much better.
