The Test of Pragmatic Language-2 (TOPL-2), designed for use by speech-language pathologists, provides important information to all essential and involved school team members (school psychologists, counselors, special educators, and clinical psychologists) about social skills and conflict resolution. Use the TOPL-2 as part of a full individual evaluation and program planning.
TOPL-2 four principles include:
Identifying individuals with pragmatic language deficits.
Determining individual strengths and weaknesses.
Documenting an individual’s progress.
Researching pragmatic language skills.
This updated edition addresses reviewer’s concerns with the previous edition, adding and improving on important components such as: pragmatic evaluation, detailed IEPs, clinical interpretive framework, extended norms, color picture prompts, and comprehensive scoring guidelines. TOPL-2 allows you to assess the effectiveness and appropriateness of a student’s pragmatic language skills with six core tests:
Very disappointed in this test. I have several students with obvious difficulty who I have discovered that if they merely say "I'm sorry" for the majority of scenes provided you can pass with flying colors. There needs to be more questions about abstract/figurative language and more multi solution based responses required on future editions of this assessment tool for it to be a true guideline to follow. I am now placed in a position to defend the need for services for my students with no objective assessment tool to back me up. Mind you it is better than the last edition, with more updated and relevant scenes, but it still needs work.

Another testing tool that is used for my students. Easy to administer and easy to score. The color pictures are better then every. One of the best pragmatic tools. A must for every therapist.

Great for determining students who need pragmatic language development. Test is a little lengthy but worth it weight in gold for providing information.

I love the new hear builder following directions and phonological awareness CD. The areas align with state standards. The graphics are wonderful and my students loved the demo. My students love chipper chat series and Auditory Memory for Quick Stories. We order most test products through Super Duper as well.

I enjoy your products and love your language games/activities. I would like more interactive products and language stimulating toys for early childhood. I work with many pre-kindergarten students and would benefit from a larger variety of products for children at this age. I love the fluency enhancing tools and the Magne Talk activities.

As a mother of a fourth-grader who has Asperger's, I particularly enjoy all of the games and social skills activities that you have available. All of your products appear to be so fun and enjoyable for the kids, that they probably don't even realize that they are picking up some very important life skills while they are playing them. That's important, because, after all, why shouldn't social skills games be just as entertaining as any childrens game? You guys obviously 'get' kids ---thanks!!!
