I bought this for my 5 yo son on the autism spectrum who is a great reader but struggles with auditory comprehension. He enjoys them, and it makes it easy for me to work in auditory comprehension practice a little bit every day. There are tons of stories, and I feel that it was a great value.

These make and take stories have proven valuable to all students, including those on the spectrum. The stories pertain to social situations encountered in the home, school and community. Students read the short stories and answer many "wh" questions, as wells, draw a retell of their own experience to the topic. Parents look forward to these stories. They are also placed on the speech class communication bulletin board for all-parents, classmates, teachers- to see and often result in discussions. These small books have met many speech goals for my deversified caseload. Thanks

I just received this and I have already used this book with 2 of my students. If you need short, simple stories, this is a great book. It also has a little extension activity on the back to help the students think in a more abstract way.

I thoroughly enjoy using the Fold and Say Auditory and Story Comprehension Activity Booklets in my ST sessions. I often let my articulation students read the stories aloud for practice and,of course, target language skills by having others answer the questions. I find it to be very versatile and the children enjoy drawing on the back page. I have often had compliments from parents when I send these with my students for home practice.

I am a mother with a son who has Autism. My son who is 5 loves to help me fold the pages in 4 and then we read the story together. This book helps engage my son to use his senses (tactile, visual and auditory). He loves it and so do I

I love this product. I use it with preschoolers through third grade. Each story comes with a set of questions and you can make up additonal questions to expand the activity. I like that it comes with a CD rom so you can print copies at your computer if you don't have time to run to the copy machine.
