Early Articulation Roundup! Fun Sheets

Giddyup! You will need your spurs and a ten-gallon hat for Early Articulation Roundup! This Rinky Link book has over 1300 fun-filled illustrations, plus a wagon load of ideas for fourteen early-developing sounds: B, D, F, G, H, K, M, N, NG, P, T, V, W, and Y . Activities present sounds in the initial, medial, and final positions (except NG, W, and Y). You get 214 pages of humorous, child-sized illustrations that will keep your children motivated. The best part is that children can "round up" their very own articulation pictures and keep them on the easy to hold Rinky Link plastic ring (one package included).

Early Articulation Roundup! includes the following activities for each sound:

  • Oral Motor Exercises/Articulation Practice: Exercises for each sound that help teach and encourage the appropriate production of the target sound. (Have the student pretend to cough making the kuh…kuh…sound.)
  • Auditory Discrimination Pairs: A listening activity that helps the child identify the error sound. (key-tea)
  • Syllable Practice: Lists for practicing the target sound in syllables with short and long vowels. (ka as in "cat" and ka as in "cake")
  • Word, Phrase, and Sentence Pictures: Pictures for practicing each target sound at the word (cow), phrase (a candy cane), and sentence level (The king kisses the kids).
  • Helper’s Log: A helpful Homework Helper's chart.

You also receive a selection of target book covers, awards and certificates, a progress chart, a parent letter, and additional ideas for therapy. So, grab your rope and lasso and rustle up some early sounds today!

  1. Great Early Intervention Resource

  2. Excellent articulation materials for my students with special needs!
This is a great resource for my young kindergarten students and my students with special needs who are working on the early-acquired speech sounds. I also use the /ng/ pages for many students, since /ng/ is not included in the Jumbo Artic Book. Nice price too!

  4. Thrilled with this Purchase!
    Quality
    100%
I am so happy with this purchase!! I tend to buy materials and then not immediately use them. Not so with this one, I used it immediately and found it effective and useful for a variety of clients! I love that this resource pairs target sounds with typical sound errors/substitutions in cognate word pairs when introducing how to produce the sound in words. Words are paired with easily described pictures in all word positions, phrases, and sentences and elicits productions for sounds in words that are not typically found in workbooks /ng, y, w, h/. This is also great for use with young children working on picture description and simple sentence construction. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

  5. Title is explicit
I purchased this book with a particular child in mind. I wanted to have material that I could send home and share with both his family and classroom teacher. The hierarchical approach from discrimination of target sounds to practicing the production in isolation, CV combinations, words and phrases is practical and easy to follow. The child can color the pictures provided to produce an individualized book that can be sent home for carryover and maintenance over the summer! I am very pleased with both my student's progress and my purchase!

  6. Yee Haw - Artic Fun!
Although I have seen this product advertised for years, it wasn't until recently that I had a student who I felt would benefit from it. I am delighted to report that my student loves Early Articulation Roundup activities and is starting to show some real progress on his stubborn early errors.

I would like to see more products in a cheaper price range. I really like many of your products, I just can't afford to buy them all. It would be nice to more products for special education teachers.. You have such wonderful products. I really like the hands on products as well as those that offer a CD for printables.

  9. I just wanted to say...
I just wanted to say I am so grateful that Super Duper continues to support SLPs by including CDs in their workbooks. I print so many homework and activity sheets so I don't have to deal with the copier, it saves so much time! Companies like LinguiSystems have lost my business because they are no longer supportive in this way. I also really enjoy the parent handouts! Keep 'em coming! I use them all the time and have told my colleuges about them!

    Quality
    100%
I like using the Early Articulation Roundup with my artic kids because it is a fun activity that they can participate in during therapy, then take home and share with their parents. The easy step by step guide included with each phoneme explains to children and parents how to produce the sound, elicit productions and practice in a heirarchical fashion from isolation to phrases. My kids love it!
