This activity is loads of fun for the second graders I work with. It is excellent, sturdy quality, and great for asking questions and descriptive language, categorization, etc. I was also able to use it with my special needs group to ask 'What' questions on their AAC device. Love this game! Bright, colorful pictures, too!

I work with second graders and they love this game! There are several ways to use it. I use it for language (describing, asking questions, improving vocabulary) and articulation. The cards are sturdy and the glasses are, too. The cards fit securely on top of the glasses. It is very motivating for the children. I use it with the special needs class, too, along with an AAC device: "What is it?" The student then learns how to ask and answer what questions, engage in eye contact, social skills, increase attention, and vocabulary. I chose vocabulary from the game that they know and they love it! I highly recommend this game!

My special education students love this game. For younger kids I recommend separating the cards into categories first and only doing one category at a time to help them originally learn to ask appropriate questions to solve their item. For example, start with forms of transportation or food items. Tell the kids which category their item is in to start with, and they will have better success with solving it.

This game works on so many language skills and the best part is that the kids have no idea they are 'working!'
From phrasing questions appropriately (expressive), to understanding and interpreting responses (receptive) to reading body language (social), to inferencing and predicting (higher level language skills), this game does it all and the kids couldn't have more fun doing it! It can be played one-on-one or with multiple students at a time.

In the enormous amount of computer games, it requires a specific, fun component to entice children to play a table game. "Jeepers Peepers" has that component, the big eye glasses. The eye glasses draw the children's attention to the appropriate participant, the appropriate topic and use their creativity to think of questions. It especially helps the child who has difficulty with peer communication.

I have enjoyed using this game overall. It reinforces useful linguistic concepts, and the children enjoy it. However, in my opinion, the minimum age/grade level for the activity isn't Kindergarten unless you have general education English-only students. For the majority of students who have language delays and/or are English learners, the minimum age should be around 2nd grade.
But the students enjoyed playing the game and using the glasses to hold the cards in place.

Jeepers Peepers is my newest addition to my treatment library. I am a fluency specialist and I am always looking for new and exciting ways to elicit speech. Jeepers Peepers allows for elicitation while also targeting eye contact in a fun, and playful context. The silly oversized glasses offer a visual and tactile cue to remind students to gain and maintain eye contact with the play partner. I am a long time user of the game "Headbanz", and while Jeepers Peepers is similar in format, this game offers many new objects and categories to explore, so that students remain engaged and invested in achieving the sessions goals. Jeepers Peepers has become the new semester favorite!! Thank you Super Duper.
