Help students develop listening skills and produce correct speech patterns with these fun minimal pairs cards! Minimal pairs are pairs of words that differ by only one sound (such as “beach” and “peach”). Minimal pairs are often used in the treatment of phonological process disorders.
Silly Sets 1 & 2 Combo has 100 illustrated minimal pair picture cards in each deck to show children how changing one sound in a word affects the meaning of an entire sentence – often with silly results!
Silly Sets 1 targets four phonological processes:
Final Consonant Deletion
Cluster Reduction
Fronting
Stopping
Silly Sets 2 targets five phonological processes:
Gliding
Stridency Deletion
Initial Consonant Deletion
Prevocalic Voicing
Postvocalic Devoicing
Silly Sets Combo
200 full-color cards total (3" x 5")
Easy for small hands to hold
Color-coded for easy sorting by phonological process
These cards have been a great resource for my students who are working on minimal pairs for phonological patterns. My students have enjoyed the pictures, and we have worked on auditory discrimination as well as producing the sounds in the word pairs.

I love using minimal pairs in therapy, particularly with /r/ therapy and phono, and this resource will be perfect for me to use next school year. I wish I would have had it last year! The cards are the perfect size and they are easy to store!

Fantastic tool!
I am a preschool SLP. These silly sets are fantastic to help kids visualize their articulation and phonological errors without feeling criticized. These sets depict the correct statement and the error in a silly way; the kids love to correct me when they find the error! Its a great way to put the responsibility on the kids to recognize the error and correct it.

I bought Silly Sets 1 and since I used it a lot decided to purchase Silly Sets 2. These are very useful in teaching auditory discrimination and how important it is to make sounds correctly.
